Root canal treatment (also known as Endodontics) is a dental procedure used to treat infection at the centre of a tooth.
The infection is caused by bacteria that live in the mouth and invade the tooth.

Possible symptoms include:

  • Swelling of the gum near the affected tooth
  • Facial swelling
  • Sensitivity to hot or cold food or drinks
  • Oozing from the affected tooth
  • Pain when biting or chewing
