What are Dermal fillers

Dermal fillers such as Rrestalyne, Juverderm and Teosyal are medical derivatives of Hyaluronic acid that is naturally present in our body. Dermal filers reduce facial lines and restore volume and fullness to the face.
Hyaluronic acid gives your skin a smooth appearance by preserving its elasticity, firmness and hydration.

As we age  our Hyaluronic acid reduces and our face naturally become thinner making smile lines and crows feet more apparent. Dermal fillers can be very helpful in those with early signs of ageing.

Does it Hurt?

Fear of pain is one of the main concerns patients have when it comes to facial aesthetics. At chrysanth dental care we use a range of techniques to ensure you are comfortable throughout the whole procedure such as facial anaesthetic cream. The fillers also contain local anaesthic also adding to increased comfort.

Where are dermal fillers placed?

Dermal fillers can be used to:

  • Plump the lips
  • Soften facial creases and wrinkles
  • Restore volume to the cheeks
  • Enhance shallow contours on the face

Does the result look natural?

The Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers used at chrysanth dental care are biocompatible natural and resorbable. The purity of these dermal fillers guarantees natural and immediate results.  Wrinkles are corrected without disturbing the natural characteristics of your facial expressions. Naturally and with discretion your face will regain its natural smooth appearance.

Are there any side effects?

Most people can return to there normal daily tasks immediately after treatment.  Most of the side effects are related to the injection site and are short-lived lasting a few days. Side effects include slight bleeding, swelling, and bruising.  Allergic reactions include redness, itching, swelling or small bumps under the skin, these may last a few weeks to months but fortunately, allergic reactions are rare.

How long do dermal fillers last?

The length of time depends on the dermal filler used and the area it was placed. Typically we expect Hyaluronic dermal fillers to last about 6 to 12 months. Collagen fillers will last around 4 to 6 months.

The areas can be “topped up” after this time after consultation with the medical professional. One of the main advantages of dermal fillers is if you decide to stop using dermal fillers the face will gradually return to how it was before.
