Dental Fillings

Dental Fillings

Dental fillings are used to repair cavity in your teeth caused by tooth decay. Although considered a routine procedure, we treat it with the same care and attention we would a more complex treatment.

There a number of different types of dental fillings available,  at Chrysanth Dental Care we only use tooth-coloured (white) fillings.

White fillings (Composite Resin)

A nature tooth coloured filling that seamlessly blend in with surrounding teeth. Made from a mixture of plastic and glass materials, white fillings have several benefits:

• No health risk associated with the use of white fillings
• Its been reported white fillings restore 85%-95% of the tooth
• White fillings closely blend with the nature appearance of your teeth
• If damaged white fillings are easier to repair

Composite or white fillings are considered more aesthetically pleasing as they are the closest match to your natural tooth colour. White fillings have always been considered less desirable than silver fillings. The availability of new materials have now made white fillings comparable and as strong as silver fillings. We use the latest technologies and techniques to make sure your fillings are the utmost quality and carried out with precision.

The life expectancy of dental fillings varies and depends greatly on how heavily you chew or bite food. Our dentists can advise you on how long your dental filling should last.
